Editing Ease

While my sister was here visiting she introduced me to the edit feature on flickr. It is a whole lotta fun! To find it, just click on one of your pictures. Next, locate the edit icon on the top right-hand side of your picture; click it. The program will take about a minute to load. When it's finished, you're ready to start.

The first thing to do, especially if you have a NOT fancy camera like me, is to push the auto-fix button. This gives the picture a basic correction. You will have the option of replacing your original photo with your corrected one or saving it as a new photo. Auto-fix is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of how you can alter your photo. Here are a few examples of other ways you can enhance your photos:
Original:

Boost:
Frames ~ Curved Edge:

Text:
Shapes:

These options are found in the Create tab. I am extremely new to flickr so this is just a very basic example of what can be done. Need a reason to spend EVEN more time on the computer? Give it a try. I'd love to see your results.

Oh, wow, that's amazing, especially that second one! The color is just gorgeous! How have I always missed that little button?

Wow Katy, you are just killing me. Excellent composition, love the addition of the hearts. It really looks like a graphic design instead of a photograph. Did you take that with your point and shoot? very impressive.

yes my point and shoot - it's a sony cyber~shot (7.2 megapixels). I still have my mom's cannon rebel but haven't mustered up the courage to give it a try -
