Baby Beluga

My youngest was so into Baby Beluga. So into it, I thought it would be fun to make her a baby beluga shirt. I traced a beluga whale image from her board book and made a template. Then I promptly forgot about this little project for months. The night before her birthday I decided to make the shirt and wrap it up as a gift. This shirt was so fun to make! Wish I would have done it when Baby Beluga was the "in" thing for her. Oh well, I bet he'll come around again -

I made this shirt by sewing fabric cut outs (whale, hearts) onto the shirt, but I contemplated using the freezer paper method from The Creative Family (and many others.) However, the freezer paper method required another trip to the craft store for paint, so it was a no go! Look at the shirts Ellie made for freezer paper inspiration and instruction.

Baby Beluga by Raffi was my absolute FAVORITE song as a 3 year old. I still remember singing it at the top of my lungs during song time at music lessons!!!! That shirt is great-it would have made my 3 year old life!
