Found this in an issue of Cookie magazine sent to me by my mom. LOVE those U.S. magazines. They are such a treat to receive over here. Anyway, I thought this was a practical and actually usable list of foods to feed your kids. Telling me how to make pistachio crusted lamb meatballs for my toddler is NOT practical and usable. At least to me. Okay, back to the list, titled Mix-and-Match Meals - all you do is pick one item from each section (or have your child chose) and you've got yourself a balanced meal. Seems like an easy way to teach your kids what constitutes a complete meal too. Quick, easy and nutritious. And visual.
Hmmmm, I wonder if they left off mac-n-cheese and pepperoni pizza on purpose. Must be a misprint . . .

This is great! I wish I had a copy. I admire you for moving oversees. I know it is a fun adventure some days, and really difficult on other days. We just moved to a new state, and most of the time it's great, but sometimes I just want to go HOME.
Interesting! I am guessing my girls would go for the bread, nut butter and olives most days. If I can call that balanced than I am happy:-)
this is a helpful chart for your protein avoidant finicky eating sister.

It's possible to subscribe to Cookie if you want - I've done it and it's pretty cheap !
Never mind the kids - I need a list like that for myself! :)
