Yes, we went

We took the girls to Euro Disney. How interesting it was to be a parent there instead of a child.

The memories from my childhood visit to Disney Land are of the rides. In particular, The Matterhorn and The Pirates of the Caribbean roller coasters. The memories of my adult visit will likely be of waiting in long lines, searching for bathrooms, the obscene amount of Disney merchandise for sale, and watching my daughters taking it (Disney Land) all in.

What about you? I'd love to hear your memories or feelings about Disney Land.

I live in the States, but I've never been to Disney Land or Disney World - only Euro Disney! I went when I was in fifth grade and living in France. It was a school day and rainy when my mom took me, so there weren't a lot of people, which was nice. I got a set of 5 porcelain dalmatians from my favorite Disney movie. :)

We went to Disneyland in July. My adult memory will be of the kids just taking it in as well. I also loved the rides. We did not see the princesses though, they were a 2 hour line wait. During our long line wait for Tinkerbell we had to leave the line for a potty break and rejoin at the end again. I was impressed that my kids did not ask for all of the overpriced merchandise and food. They really didn't clue in to it at all until our second day there. I had to talk Jacob in to a t-shirt. It was truly magical and exhausting!

Like I said in my comment to your last set of pictures, I'm a Disney fanatic. I've been more times than I can count to Disneyland/world/euro. Everytime I go, even the last time which was just a year and a half ago, I feel like a little kid. Even better, the last two times I went I got to feel like a little kid with my daughter, who also loves Disney. And amazingly, I think my husband feels the same way. Now I'm looking forward to being able to go again when August is old enough, maybe next fall :)

You know, I've never been! Even on a college trip to California, when I thought it'd be a lark, we never made it. Ah well!

Kitten- I LOVE that memory! Do you still have the dalmatians?

SAHM - Thank you! Passionfruit and chocolate macaron - a tasty and interesting combination.

ksjj - it was totally exhausting! I'm still tired and it's Wednesday night!! We waited for 1.5 hours for belle! We got lucky for Sleeping Beauty and Bryce elbowed his way in after her "performance."

Laura - I totally forgot you're an Adult Lover of Disney :) What exactly do you love about it? Rides? Characters?

Ambika - I'm confident you'll live a full and happy life - even without going to Disney Land :)

Katy,
I'm not sure why I love Disneyland so much. I just truly feel like a little kid when I'm there. I think the whole way it's set up in design makes me forget about the "real" world, which is what kids so fortunately do all the time.
