So when I told you we took 100 pictures of the Eiffel Tower I wasn't kidding. It started out as a quest to get Julie a photo for her Christmas card. But The Old Lady's beauty overtook us and every time we turned around there was another incredible view of her. Without realizing it our purpose turned from Christmas photo to capturing something amazing.
After lunch at the Trocadero, Julie and I spent the afternoon photographing her. No, there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. Although I don't know exactly which photo Julie will choose, I know she got her Christmas card photo.

It's hard to take a bad photo of Paris' version of the Space Needle!
Gorgeous photos. I just felt a heart pang looking at them. I wish I could go back to Paris soon, but alas we are poor.
How did you get the last photo? Did you use a tripod?
One can never have enough shots of the Eiffel tower.... I just looked at yours again and wandered off to my happy memories of this summer...My favourite shot is the one through the trees (I have that same exact shot!)....My daughter calls it her Eiffel Tower, which cracks me up every time...Keep the pictures coming...I`m looking at booking a trip to Vienna to see the Christmas markets, I love seeing everyone's travel pics as it pushes me to book my next trip!
Now I want to go to Paris. Sigh.
well she should definately use a photo of the tower with the lights on.. then she can stick a star on the top of the card and it can be her version of a christmas tree :P
I think I am getting plane tickets right now!
Tom - so funny you say that. my oldest always compares the eiffel tower to the space needle. every time she does it I hear the city of Paris cringe.
Mama Llama - no tripod. Julie took that photo from the boat cruise.
Marcelle - I totally have Vienna on the brain too. We're considering it for after Christmas. Curious about Rick Steve's "Christmas in Europe" book. Wish I could check it out of the library. ha.
This Girl - LOVE it! That would be a great card!! I'll have to suggest it!
Last time I was in Paris it was 1999 and they had that horrible countdown clock on the tower - it just looked horrible! I'm glad to see her back in her natural state :)
I am sure I will pick a Christmas card, but the "old lady" sure looks better than I do in the photos!
