I've had Paris on the brain again lately. I think it is reading these posts that are doing it to me. Must figure out when we can go again! Until then I'll enjoy the day dreaming. Here is a list of children's books about Paris, France, and works of art that can been seen in Paris that have been recommended. Books are truly a great way to get your kids excited about travel. Thanks to Lucia and Christina for sharing their kiddos favs.
Adele and Simon by Barbara McClintock
La La Rose by Satomi Ichikawa
Degas and the Little Dancer by Laurence Anholt
This is Paris by Miroslav Sasek
Eloise in Paris by Kay Thompson
The Magical Garden of Claude Monet by Laurence Anholt
Katie meets the Impressionists by James Mayhew
Linnea in Monet's Garden by Christina Bjork
Leave a comment to share additional books. I'll add them to the list.
**Picture is from our trip to Paris after Christmas. Audrey was holding on for dear life in the Metro. Once she got the hang of it she refused to sit down, wanting only to stand and hold onto a pole.

I have anywhere on my mind right now, but where I am at. Thanks for sharing these books with us.
I found you on Crafty Crow and just wanted to say I really enjoy reading your blog.
Ummm. .. if you get any suggestions for visits to Provence, please pass them this way. I just ordered a Cezanne one. . . I'll let you know what it's like when we get it.

That hat..that adorable adorable hat. Did you make it? I have developed a weakness for cute kid hats - winter or summer. And that one is too much! Maddy loves her hats and I love to embellish her. Hoping Ms. Makena will indulge me as well...and not fight the cuteness I must bestow. Sorry, no books..just yammering about that HAT!
Potters - I'm flattered that you think I'm talented enough to pull off a hat like that. Let me assure you that I'm not. I am, however, quite capable of handing over my debit card at H&M which is exactly how Audrey came to have this hat ;)
