We met some family friends over in the Castle Quarter the day before we left. We were excited to see Prague with some natives. The Castle Quarter was packed! It had been closed to the public due to the meeting of some V.I.Ps. and had reopened the day we decided to go. We milled around St. Vitus Cathedral in awe of it's dark, massive presence.
From St. Vitus we walked to The Golden Lane, a line of 11 historical houses where goldsmiths used to reside. Today they house traditional artisans selling their handicrafts. The girls were lucky enough to score a marionette puppet from their Grandma! Franz Kafka is said to have lived briefly in house number 22.
That evening we went to a concert in the Church of St. Nicolas in Old Town Square. It was such a beautiful atmosphere to listen to music.
Just a few more pictures from Prague to share with you tomorrow.
