Muffin Tin Monday - Children's Literature

Let's see 'em! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.

My tin is based on Mouse Mess by Linnia Riley. It is a charming story of a mouse who creates quite a mess snacking his way through the kitchen. Funny that my girls had no problem doing the same after their lunch and I'm pretty sure they're not mice. See for yourself ~

"Sticky gooey jam to spread with peanut butter smeared on bread."

"Olives, pickles, catsup fun! Pop the tops off one by one."

"Crunch-crunch, he wants a cracker. Munch-munch, a cookie snacker."

Contents: Jam, bread, pretzel sticks, apple, peanut butter, Ritz, pickles, Swiss cheese, olives, mini Oreos, Corn Flakes, cheddar cheese. "Mice"- marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, pretzel sticks, slivered almonds

"Who made this awful mess? asks Mouse. These people need to clean their house!"

My daughters loved this! Our preschool-at-home theme has so far been 'Seashore'. We have tons of books that work, take your pick! The best are probably Harry by the Sea (Gene Zion) and A House for Hermit Crab (Eric Carle). Thanks for the fun!

I didn't get a chance to do ours today, so I'll post it later this week, but our book is HAZEL'S AMAZING MOTHER, by Rosemary Wells.
