Muffin Tin Monday & Goodbye #3

A friend planned a lovely goodbye lunch for us. The hostess had a wonderful spread of kid food for lunch and cupcake decorating for dessert. The kids couldn't have been more pleased or sticky! It was a sweet way to say goodbye.

Can I tell you something? I have NO business blogging right now. The movers are coming THIS morning. Guess they're going to start the packing first and then the moving on Tuesday. My house is insane. I'm taking pictures. I'll post them someday. We're attempting to have everything in our ENTIRE house divided into 4 piles - Seattle storage, sea shipment, air shipment, pack in luggage. Holy crap. Everything has stickers on it, color coded with where it is supposed to go. Think the movers will pay attention? We're mostly done. Sorta done. I just have to stop for a minute. Take a break from all the stuff. Why do we have sooooo much stuff? BTW, the only way we're pulling this off at all is because of my in-laws. They've taken over parenting duties since Friday. Hallelujah. We're so thankful.

Address Change

Muffin Tin Monday has found a new home. Michelle, from Her Cup Overfloweth, has been so gracious to take on the role of hostess to our fun Monday event. She will provide a stable home. One that is not moving to a new country (15 days.) One that has internet access and a computer. Stable is good.

I feel sad. I'll miss you all. I like this gig we have going. Promise me we'll still be friends.
Sigh. Goodbye #1. I'm horrible at goodbyes. Let's call this a see ya later. I'll definitely visit you at Michelle's. I'll even post a muffin tin, once I have one again. Our air shipment will take 2-6 weeks to arrive. We could also call this a hello. Click on over to Michelle's and say hello. Check out the new digs, get comfy and leave her a message.

Muffin Tin Monday

Good Morning! Please excuse my muffin tin this week. It looks so unappetizing and the picture is not very good either. My girls had this with spaghetti as their dinner. Despite it's inedible appearance, the girls really liked it.

Contents: Bread, Parmesan cheese (to top their spaghetti), cucumber, yogurt (as dip for the cucumber) tomato sauce (to add to their spaghetti), mini cupcake

TECH QUESTION: Does anyone know how to edit the background out of a picture? I want only the main image showing with the background white or magically gone. I know it's possible, but not sure how. I don't have photo shop. Is it possible with flickr? Thanks!

Muffin Tin Monday 101

It is exciting to see so many parents participating in Muffin Tin Monday. There were a handful of new peeps for our Shape Challenge - Welcome! Since I get a few emails each week from bloggers who want to participate, I thought I'd just write up a quick post on how to do just that. Here goes:

1) You need a blog or a flickr account to participate.

2) Take a picture of your muffin tin meal and post it on your blog/flickr account.

3) Leave me a comment or send me an email on Sunday or Monday with a link to your post.

4) I'll add you to the list of Muffin Tin Mamas on Monday.

5) It is *totally* fine to send me your post later than Monday. I will still add you to the list.

6) If there is a challenge it will be announced on my blog, usually on a Monday. I'm good about leaving theme reminders.

7) There is a flickr group devoted to Muffin Tin Meals - Join in!

Muffin Tin Monday - Shape Challenge

Happiness flows in a circular motion ~ With that in mind, we chose circles and spheres to fill our Shape Challenge Muffin Tin.

Contents: cheddar cheese, grapes, cantaloupe balls, circle pizza, pepperoni, circle pizza, blueberries

This shape challenge was all about the melon baller for my girls, possibly even me too. I remember trying to use my mom's as a child (again with the nostalgia, I know.) My oldest tried it twice before succumbing to her frustration and my 2 year old? She was just happy eating the melon balls. Found the cute new muffin tin liners at Uwajimaya.
