Wednesday Evening

Our airshipment arrived yesterday. 500 lbs of our stuff. What a random collection of stuff. Funny how 500 lbs sounds like a lot, but really it's nothing at all. It was our Christmas things - ornaments, Christmas books, stockings, gifts from family, my computer & printer, some toys, 25(?) books for the kids, our comforter, 2 pillows, my kitchen knives and then a bunch of really random things. Shows how scattered I was - a bottle of mouthwash, 1 deoderant, 2 packs of Theriflu, and a picture frame.

I found The Little Gym. It's exactly like the one in Seattle - only in French. Audrey is thrilled to have something to do other than grocery shopping (there it is again) or being pushed on long walks. After I got lost last week, she kept saying, Yittle Gim. Allll gone. Yittle Gim. Allll gone. Yup, Yittle Gim is just the thing for her!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all ~

I don't know about there but over here English books cost a small fortune and the selection is crap! Anyway, there is a site, like Amazon called the book depository but all shipping if free WORLDWIDE and many of the books are cheaper than Amazon. I tend to search Amazon and check the reviews then order from the book depository...

I also recommend asking other ex-pats if they know of any foreign food shops, we have some odd quirky ones which are hidden in the basement of shopping malls etc. that I would never have stumbled upon. In fact we had been living here for 3 years before I found out about one of them! The stuff tends to be more expensive but when you are having one of those 'what the hell am i doing here days' and you NEED a big bar of your favourite whatever, it is good to know where to get it! Other ex-pats might know of local websites too, we have a couple of places that import foreign food/goods.

That cheese post made me soooo jealous, cheese here is rubbish :o(
