A few weekends ago we went to a Medieval Festival in Useldange. Just on the off chance you haven't heard of Useldange, it's a small village in western Luxembourg. It has a castle that is really more of a ruin although you can climb to the top of the tower (which has recently been renovated.) What's remaining of the wall that used to surround the castle is beautiful. Altogether it's extremely picturesque.
This is the second Medieval Festival we've attended since moving to Luxembourg. Last summer we went to the Festival in Vianden. Honestly, we enjoyed the festival in Useldange much more. It was less crowded and more, well medieval-y. It was filled with people, that I suspected, always looked as if they were attending a Medieval Festival. There was wonderful music, roaming magicians, and demonstrations of everything from felting to making fire from flint.

Love those beautiful head bands girls. gg
Looks wonderful! What perfect weather!
Oh this makes me think of the PA Renaissance Faire (one of the biggest in U.S.A.). Did they serve you a plate with a hunk of cheese and bread to gnaw on? LOVED it.
