Just a few things

Made beach boxes for my girls and niece today. I thought they'd like to have a place to store the treasures they find on the beach. Pretty sure my youngest will fill hers with rocks. My oldest will find the tiniest things possible to collect. Everything small and tiny, that's what she's into these days. And ponies. This box is a spin off of the Nature Boxes seen here.

My sister commissioned a sock monkey shirt for her friend's daughter. She is turning one and Emily is attending her birthday luau. I added eye lashes to this one. Think she's pretty cute.

Thank you again for the head bands! I'm so excited!

Girl, I about fell out of my chair when I saw the sock monkey shirt!!! That is so cute I am that I'm puking as I write. DO you have patterns for this stuff or do you free hand it? God has gifted you, Katy! Wow! Do you rubber stamp? Stampin' Up! has a new sock monkey stamp set that would be perfect to make birthday cards to go along with the shirt or to make an awesome scrapbook page of the child wearing the shirt.

I love the eye lashes on the sock monkey! Soooo cute!

What about an "origins" theme for MTM? We could do it a couple of ways...we're in Texas so we would do tex-mex OR we would do food that's been passed down through our family. It could be made into a family or local history lesson as well.

love the shirt. I was tempted to blog today about how girls and boys are so different when it comes to shells and such (at least at this age). Logan just wants to throw whatever I show him. He had a huge meltdown yesterday (granted he was tired) because I wanted to keep a moon snail shell & didn't want him to throw it! So I think he'd just throw the beach box into the water to watch it float or sink! I'm hoping he'll turn into a collector by next year (I'll probably eat these words by then)
