Favorite Things from Trader Joe's

Thank you for your help with the California play list! That was fun. Now, I need your help with something else. I've been telling our friends about the wonders of Trader Joe's and wouldn't you know it, there is one right next to where they're staying in Cali. Sooo, please take a second and tell me your FAV Trader Joe's products. Ones that you would recommend to someone new to TJ's.

Here are mine: Their fresh hummus, pico de gallo, sesame seed covered almonds and dried apricots. I also love their peanut butter filled pretzels. However, I don't think the English love peanut butter the way we Americans do.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

I actually have a Trader Joe's bag that I use for groceries here. Just this week a check-out clerk at Cora commented on how pretty it is.

I like the sea-salt brownies. Nice wine department, too. Oh, and I have a bottle of vitamin D I got there. It's in my kitchen now . . .

I like the light Kettle Corn. And it comes in individual bags, perfect for hotel rooms, traveling etc. I also like the dried mango, the mango tea and the cheese counter.

Hmmm... what don't I like at Trader Joe's would be a better question. Before moving to Lux, I wasn't sure I could live without it!

The entire sweets department is divine... can't go wrong picking anything there. I like their Belgian Chocolate Pudding (beware, it's impossible to stop at the normal 'serving'!), kids love their cheese & crackers, James likes the rice crackers. The kids love the Shu Mai (frozen) for dinner, and I love it because it's such an easy meal for them!

I think the better question is: what don't I like at TJs? :) But I will answer the question you asked. I LOVE the banana yogurt and the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. They also have super awesome red pepper hummus. My fiance loves the Greek yogurt and those peanut butter pretzels. :)

They have new "low calorie" lemonade that I am a bit addicted to. Also, reccommend the simmering sauces. Remember the Thai green sauce with chicken over rice that we made you when Audrey was born? They have Indian inspired simmering sauces as well.
p.s. You can buy the TJs brown rice in the freezer section and just microwave it. Easy cheap yummy meal!

Also, we buy the taquitos and line them up on a pan in the oven. In the last two to three minutes we pour TJ's green salsa on them and a bunch of cheese. Serve with sour cream. Yum. (but not really healthy)

Let's just keep the list going! No one mentioned the eensy-weensy peanut butter cups. They just might be the thing to get the Brits hooked on peanut butter! I also buy the Gluten Free Granola (cranberry maple nut). I can actually tolerate gluten, but this granola is my favorite.

spicy soybean nibbles. I'm pretty sure I'm mixing languages.

Don't forget the gorgonzola crackers...

Oh Goodness! We love TJ's and I cant wait to try the gorgonzola crackers! I love their bagged fruit & nut's -- I cant remember my favorite bag but it has cashews, almonds, dried pineapple and dried, sour cherries~ yum! They have great pre-made salads and I second the kettle corn and my Mom loves their greek yougurt. I like their TJ brand Chilean Red Wine - very cheap & pretty good for the price. I also really like their Thai simmer sauces.

What a great list! I think a bottle of 2 buck Chuck is a necessity. Does that even still exist?

Road Trippers - I totally forgot about those little tiny peanut butter cups. In the same teeny tiny vein, I love the chocolate, candy coated sunflower seeds. As Erin said, you can't go wrong in the sweets dept.
