Muffin Tin Madness!

Welcome to our first group Muffin Tin Monday! I'm excited that you are joining in! Please follow the links to check out more creative and delicious Muffin Tin Meals. Here is mine for the week:

Left to Right: Leftover mac-n-cheese, bacon bits, dried pears, tooth picks, grapes, sesame sticks, trail mix, veggie booty, strawberries, cantaloupe, cheese bread sticks, marinara sauce (for dipping the cheese bread)

My intention is to use food I already have at home and leftovers to fill the muffin tin. The mac-n-cheese was from a previous dinner and the bacon bits were from Father's Day breakfast. I also try to include items my kids haven't tried or "don't like" in hopes of expanding their diet (I'm not holding my breath.) I also try to have a few items from each food group - didn't have veggies or enough dairy in this week's. Bad mommy. Look forward to seeing yours and stealing your ideas- ha!

Are you having muffin tin envy? No worries, join in next week (or this week)! Leave me a comment and I'll add your link when you post your picture. Please include a list of food contents with your post. No stress about the MONDAY part - I'll post mine on Mondays but I'll add your link whenever you have a post to contribute. Boo to deadlines, yes to fun!

My girls loved doting on their father this Sunday. My oldest must have recited, "It's Daddy's day, he can do what he wants" a million times. Funny how Daddy started reciting that too. Hope you all had a peaceful day as well. More pictures here.

She ate something other than Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwiches! Thank you so much for this awesome idea! We had our own Muffin Tin Monday and it went...well, less pretty than yours (hence no photos) but she ate something new. I was to the point where if I had to make one more PB&H my head would explode. Thank you again, you are a lifesaver!

I love the idea of muffin tin monday! I do enjoy muffins, but never thought of putting other foods in them .... I'm sure this will be a hit lunch over summer vacation.

We did our first Muffin Tin Monday today!
Our tin held an herb-roasted turkey and cheddar cheese roll, spaghetti with tomato sauce, watermelon, tiny pancakes, cucumber, dried pineapple, dried cherries, pork stir fry with red peppers and green beans, peanuts, grilled red bell peppers, white beans with garlic and rosemary, and cheddar bunny crackers. Photo at http://www.themcauleys.blogspot.com/ under today's date. Thanks for the great idea--can't wait for next week!

Love this idea! Even though I don't have little ones I think my teenagers, or at least my 13 year old daughter, might enjoy something along these lines. She likes to cook so I bet she would enjoy putting together her own version. I would have absolutely loved this when I was a kid.

Good morning and thanks for the fun muffin tin idea! I came over from Finding Normal, who I also just found today.

Last month I listened to Animal, Vegetable, Miracle on CD and really enjoyed it. It has made me reconsider all kinds of things like buying bananas in summer when we have fresh strawberries right down the street.

Oh, yum! This is such a fantastic idea...perfect for summertime lunches! We may have to try this...

Wow, that's a neat idea. We tried it tonight for dinner. My son loved a few things, but not everything. I think he might have been amazed at all the food.
